Please join APT WGLC on May 30th for a brown-bag lunch presenting the video "Modernism Renewed" produced by the GSA (see description below). GSA Preservation  Architects will introduce the video and answer questions afterwards. The event is free and all are welcome.

Please allow additional time at arrival to go through security.

This 30 minute documentary addresses the significance of structures from the modern-era, points out the common failures they are facing, and provides an overview why this preservation solution was appropriate for this building and how it might be appropriate for other buildings of this type.  GSA inventory includes approximately 600 modern-era buildings across the nation.  The A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building, in downtown Cleveland, recently completed construction on a façade over-cladding project that preserved much of the buildings original design integrity.  This film focuses on the unique double wall solution as a "preservation" approach to renewing the viability of the historic property and extending its functional use well into the future.
