Join APT WGLC, SAIC and EverGreene Architectural Arts for a workshop focused on gilding techniques. This workshop will begin with a tour of the Auditorium Theatre to see a completed gilding restoration in situ. The tour will be followed by a presentation and hands-on workshop of gilding techniques and applications at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Attendees will gain an understanding of investigating, documenting, designing, repairing, and replicating historic gilded elements. We will also learn about factors to consider in developing treatment options, construction documents, and mockups. We’ll end the event with a lunch provided by EverGreene Architectural Arts.

Registration is limited to 25 participants. The event is free for APT WGLC members and $30.00 for non-members. Attendees will receive 3 AIA CEUs (pending approval).
